Valerie Green, LVT:

 

Valerie, LVT

Valerie Green grew up in Portland, Pennsylvania.   She obtained a Bachelor in Science in Biology and a degree in Education from Muhlenberg College.   After graduation, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she earned a degree in veterinary nursing.  Valerie worked in general and emergency practice for over 15 years before joining PADS/LVVD in August 2010.  She is a member of the Lehigh Valley Veterinary Medical Association and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, scrap booking, Disney, and is an avid Phillies and Green Bay Packers fan.  Valerie lives in Allentown with her husband and daughter.  They share their home with two cats, one dog, and many fish.       

Lauren Kelchner

 

Lauren

Lauren was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and lived the majority of her life in the Poconos. She graduated in 2005 from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Prior to coming to LVVD,  Lauren spent 8 years as an Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse at Valley Central Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, as well as 3 years as an emergency and critical care nurse. She started at PADS/LVVD in March, 2016. Lauren currently lives in Bethlehem, PA with her husband, guinea pigs and two Boston terriers. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports and working out, crafting, playing with her dogs, arm wrestling, and spending time with her family and friends.  

Stephanie Shay, CVT

 

Stephanie, CVT

Stephanie grew up in Berks County on her family's farm. She attended the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh and graduated with an Associates degree in specialized veterinary technology in 2008.  Stephanie has practiced over the last 15 years in general, emergency and specialized veterinary medicine. After a few years away and starting a family, she returned to LVVD in May 2022.  Stephanie resides in the Bangor area with her husband, daughter, a crazy chocolate lab, a wimpy beagle, and a naughty ginger cat!

Lisa Weigel, CVT

 

Lisa, CVT

Lisa is from Allentown, PA.  She graduated vet tech school from LCCC and became a certified vet technician in 2005.  She worked in general practice for over 12 years before joining PADS/LVVD in early 2017. Lisa lives in Allentown with her husband and has twin boys and one daughter (who was way easier raise than twin boys).  We would love to to tell you how many cats she has, but even she has lost count.

Elisha grew up in Macungie, PA.  She graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and later received a degree in veterinary technology from LCCC.  Prior to joining PADS/LVVD in 2021, she was veterinary technician in general practice for over 6 years.  She lives in Emmaus with a crazy cat and various small mammals/fish.

Andrea grew up in Bucks County, PA. In 2004 she and her husband moved to the Lehighton area where they currently reside. Andrea attended the LCCC Veterinary Technician program and earned her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician.  Andrea spent over seven years in general practice before joining PADS/LVVD in 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Andrea and her husband currently share their home with 4 cats.

Lauren grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Northampton Community College in 2012 with a degree in Medical Administration. Before joining PADS/LVVD in 2024, she worked in general practice as a veterinary receptionist for 12 years. Lauren lives with her husband, daughter, 2 senior German shorthaired pointers, 1 spunky Dachshund, and 1 mischievous cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, gardening, and cooking new recipes.

Barbara

Barbara was born in Seattle, Washington and has lived in San Diego, California before permanently moving to Pennsylvania and raising 3 beautiful daughters. Prior to venturing into veterinary medicine, she spent 21 years in the elder care field. She has 8 years experience in a general practice setting as a receptionist before joining PADA/LVVD in August 2024. Currently residing in Easton Pennsylvania, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking and hiking with her two dogs.

Christy grew up in Danielsville and attended Harcum College in Bryn Mawr where she studied Veterinary Technology and Equine Business Management. Christy and her husband relocated to North Carolina where they spent 18 years before returning to the Lehigh Valley in 2021. Before coming to PADS/LVVD in 2024, Christy was an Anesthesia and Surgery nurse at Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Mobile Veterinary Surgical Services for 16 years where she had the opportunity to work in several specialty areas including Surgery, Neurology, Emergency, Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine. Christy resides in Nazareth on a small farm she shares with her husband and four dogs. Christy is an active member of the Great Dane Club of America, the English Setter Association of America and the American Kennel Club where she spends her free time showing her dogs in conformation. Christy also enjoys hiking, biking, camping and spending time with her extended family.

Amanda

Amanda grew up in Emmaus, PA. She graduated from West Chester University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in general psychology. She then went on to earn a veterinary technician degree from LCCC in 2019. Prior to joining pads in 2024, she worked in general practice for 6 years. She currently lives in Bethlehem, PA with her husband, daughter, and 2 crazy rescue pups (Gouda and Pepper Jack). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family exploring new brunch spots and spending time outdoors.

Amy was born and raised in Emmaus Pennsylvania. She has over 15 years of veterinary experience in a general practice. She currently resides in Emmaus with her husband. In her spare time, Amy enjoys hiking, watching documentaries and embroidery. Amy is also an avid lover of animals.
